Quick Apply Full-time 20 hours ago Full Job Description JOB SUMMARY Field Service Technicians (FST) will be expected to travel throughout the USA.
FST's will work within in the team to execute mechanical/electrical tasks in direct support of completing field service projects on equipment utilized in Power Transmission, Distribution, and Generation.
Technician will participate in the installation, maintenance and or repair of electrical equipment following defined procedures and industry standards.

Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
Participate in safety training and technical training as required.
To perform mechanical/electrical support in the following areas that requires supervision from FST's 3 & 4:
Transformer Assembly Electrical Testing Controls LTC's Oil Processing PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The below listed responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.

Receive assignments and instructions from lead and manager - both oral and written.
Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth Company procedures, and blueprints when performing assigned work.
Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations.
Setup and layout materials and tools for all assembly operations.
Maintain the required clearances and dimensions for the voltage classifications specified.
Support FST 3 and 4 with:
Transformer Assembly, Electrical Testing, Controls, LTC's, Oil Processing KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must be mechanically inclined and have basic knowledge of hand tools Must understand operating heavy machinery/equipment.
Must be self-directed, positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions/directions.
Must have advanced computer skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Education / Experience Must have HS Diploma or GED equivalent Must have valid Driver's License Preferred Education / Experience Manufacturing/industrial experience Physical Demands Estimated hours for this position is 60 hours a week Ability to remain in a standing position 90% of the time.
Ability to travel 95% of the time to different job sites throughout the region Travel via vehicle and plane Ability to operate heavy machinery, climb, and work at heights Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
