Nurse Director Perioperative Services

The Nurse Director Perioperative Services of this Surgical Services Unit will oversee the daily operations of the Operating Room, PACU and Surgical Day Care.
This Director plays a critical role in ensuring that surgical services are delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently.
They must have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of surgical care and regulatory requirements.
This hospital serves a 15,000-square-mile region in the northern part of Southeast Alaska where the Nurse Director Perioperative Services will plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of patient care and all staff activities.
This person will enjoy leading a team of highly qualified professionals to achieve organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes.
Reporting to the Chief Nurse of Operations, the Perioperative Nurse Director will be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team of Perioperative Specialists, including working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for surgical patients.
Some of the leadership functions that the Perioperative Services Nurse Director will accomplish include directing patient care, maximizing resource utilization, and achieving organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes.
A successful Director will have a minimum of five years of current acute care experience, possess an active State of Alaska RN license and be BLS, ACLS and PALS certified.
