The Department of Family and Community Services,Office of Children's Services (OCS) isrecruiting for full-time Social Services Program Officer located inAnchorage, Alaska.
What you will be doingUnder the guidance of the Division's Data Processing Manager and via a hybrid-agile methodology, the position serves as the functional manager, overseeing all planning and development of OCS' Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS).
Other critical functions performed by this position include resolving CCWIS bugs, overseeing all statewide CCWIS training and assisting in meeting federal and state reporting requirements for the CCWIS.
This position has direct supervisory responsibility for two Program Coordinator positions and two Protective Service Specialist positions.
The supervisory responsibilities include:
training, daily supervision, establishing performance criteria and evaluating employee performance, interviewing job candidates, and making hiring decisions.
The program coordinator positions act as functional business analysts for the CCWIS while the PSS positions conduct all CCWIS training and Help desk tasks.

Working environment you can expectThis position is located in OCS' State Office building, in Anchorage, Alaska.
This is a fast-paced position with varying job duties and responsibilities.
Daily, this position works with other teams within OCS as well as IT and external contractors.
This position requires frequent meetings, on-demand requests for information/data and will likely experience frequent interruptions.

Minimum Qualifications Four years of journey level professional experience providing, developing, administrating, or managing social/health services or social/health service programs.
ANDOne year of experience supervising professional or paraprofessional staff.
This experience may be earned concurrently with the required journey level professional experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
