It's a great place to work and a beautiful place to live!The Director of Surgical Services oversees the daily operations of the Operating Room, PACU and Surgical Day Care.
The Director is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care and all staff activities for the Surgical Services Unit, this includes, directing patient care, maximizing resource utilization, and achieving organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes.
The Director is responsible for the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing and training of employees, budgeting, developing policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructure of the department.
This position requires a valid Alaska RN License, and the director may oversee pre- and post- operative care of patients or perform nursing duties as needed.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
Graduation from accredited Nursing Program.
Bachelor's degree preferred or may substitute year for year experience.
Master's degree desirable.
License(s):
Current State of Alaska Registered NurseCertification(s):
Current Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, PALS.
Experience(s):
A minimum of five years of current Operating Room/PACU/SDC nursing experience.
Two years of supervisory/management experience.
Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
