00 Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? Senior Director Cybersecurity Business OperationsThe Cybersecurity Business Operations role is a key position within the Travelers Cybersecurity Organization.
This role ensures overall operational productivity, consistency, and effectiveness in support of key stakeholders and leads the execution and implementation of priorities in support of business strategies to meet agreed upon growth and transformation targets.
This position requires strong engagement within Cybersecurity and with Technology & Business leaders from across the Travelers enterprise.
Additionally, this position requires broad business knowledge to connect and collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to develop recommendations on how to address a wide variety of topics and issues.
The person in this role will keep the pulse internally and externally on prevailing issues impacting Cybersecurity and partner closely with the leadership team towards key areas of focus.
Position
Responsibilities:

As a member of the senior leadership team, partner closely with key stakeholders to define and structure a cybersecurity business operational plan.

Keeps the pulse internally and externally on prevailing issues impacting Cybersecurity and guides the leadership team to key areas of focus.
Additionally, as needed, provides research to enable sound decision making.

Provides cybersecurity perspective to enterprise initiatives and support to cross-functional strategies and teams.

Partners closely with the Strategy and Analytics team to generate business focused and actionable insights and obtain organizational buy-in through influential communication across Travelers.

Seizes new opportunities and innovates with a forward-looking company focus while navigating ambiguity.

As needed, represent the function within the business, across Travelers, and the external market.

Anticipates and bridges CISO, cybersecurity and business needs, discussions, and planning through to execution.

Leads organizational/process improvements to maximize cost-effectiveness, achieve/enhance goal, result, and outcome.

This role will be responsible for the oversight of key presentations and will support communications for external presentations and speeches as needed.

In partnership with Cybersecurity leaders and finance, responsible for operational budget management and optimization.

Partner with senior leadership team on the development of key communication points/messages.

Plans and enables a strong cadence of internal security forums, townhalls, learning experiences & recognition events.

Partner across cybersecurity teams and HR to strengthen and scale strategies related to culture, learning, inclusion, and diversity in the workplace.

Partners with leadership team and HR to driving impactful outreach programs through academic institutions and non-profit programs.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering/Science, MIS, Engineering, Mathematics, or other technical degreeMinimum of 10 years of professional technical experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in a formal leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completionBroad knowledge of all IT related technologies with subject matter expertise in IT Security related technology and business exposures impacting organizational vitality preferred.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Ability to drive change and transformation while dealing with ambiguity in a complex, dynamic environmentA strong understanding of the cybersecurity function and ability to quickly diagnose organizational issues, and be able to provide recommendations on how address any issuesRequires a broad business knowledge to connect and collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to support recommendations to CISODemonstrates advanced analytic and diagnostic skills dealing with often novel and not readily defined, lack known precedent or appear contradictory.
Experience with working across an enterprise-wide organizationExperience working with all levels of leadership inclusive of executivesRequires strong engagement with Tech leaders from across the Travelers enterpriseRequires the ability to establish relationships quickly at all levels of the organization.
Appropriately balance setting strategic direction with daily execution.
Maintains partnerships across the organization, and can influence senior management, peers and subordinates through an inclusive style and recognition of their abilities and knowledge.
Ability to inspire, rally, and lead in a federated and matrixed environment.
