Applicants must meet the basic requirement and additional experience requirements listed below. Basic Requirement:
GS-0401:
Degree:
biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and
Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. GS-1301:
Degree:
physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. or Combination of education and
Experience:
education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must also possess experience and/or directly related education in the amounts listed below. Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-12:
You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as of the following:
Specialized experience is defined as professional level
Experience:
implementing established business and technical requirements to support the collection, input, storage, and retrieval of natural resource data in support of land management processes; and coordinating the technical support of deployed applications in the use of geospatial technology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related to land management. For the GS-13:
You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as professional level experience leading and facilitating discussions with managers and/or resource specialists to determine business and technical requirements for the collection, input, storage, and retrieval of natural resource data in support of land management processes; and directing the technical support of deployed applications; OR developing and applying scientific geospatial analytical methods to guide natural resources-related land management decisions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
