For the GS-9:
You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include:
assisting with fixed wing operations, fixed wing crew training, and evaluating equipment and ground facilities; involvement in developing and reviewing new or proposed fixed wing policies, plans, or programs; participation in and/or enforcement of aviation-related training. OR Successful completion of a master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a degree with a major program of study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. OR An appropriate combination of specialized experience and graduate level education (only graduate education in excess of 18 semester hours may be used to qualify applicants for this grade level). The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. For the GS-11:
You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include:
planning and oversight of fixed wing operations, fixed wing crew training, and evaluating equipment and ground facilities; develops, reviews, and recommends new or proposed fixed wing policies, plans, or programs; serves as a subject matter expert and advisor for fixed wing aviation management challenges; develops, implements, and/or enforces aviation-related training. OR Success completion of three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major program of study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. OR An appropriate combination of specialized experience and graduate level education (beyond what is required for a master's degree, i.e., more than 36 semester hours leading to a Ph.D.) in an aviation program of study. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
